D-ESP
DWSM
- Doug opened sample can and all switches work just fine
Much discussion about what to do now. Doug wants to re-build bag assembly, but uncertain how that would help identify the problem. Difficult to know the path forward. Brent/Scott/Doug to meet and discuss.
- Doug's found new sphere Bulkhead valves ($80/ea) and will order 4-5 to replace current (leaky) ones.
- ROV pilots and Craig Dawe working on a dead vehicle recovery option so they could get ROV back if attached to D-ESP while it's hooked to MARS and the ROV dies.
- Doug has no information on the Mass Spec housing (see below)
- Drop weight release neeeded modifications: design now almost finished, then to machine shop.
Mass Spectrometer
- we are experiencing scope creep. Were supposed to receive a turn-key system to mount on elevator, and what Wayne has rec'd still needs wiring work and power supply filters, and currently will not turn on. Also Doug has no specs on the housing
- Jim will set-up another phone conference with Pete to address these issues
Surface ESP's
- Bruce has been turned back to 2008--firmware and Ruby scripts. Some temperature calibrations were out of wack; Cheri did a quick room/hot temp calibration, so those numbers have changed, but everything else is the same. Ready for Roman to start running DA arrays.
- Mack has latest firmware and is running off the networked (not internal) code.
- Betty needs new Linux OS and Ruby Interpreter; for it's month long test run, should NOT run off network as it will hang each time the network goes down.
- All machines need the latest software components (Gordon is only one with all of these)
- Dwarf Firmware (update to 3.68)
- Ruby Script updates
- Linux OS update (from 1.6 to 1.8)
- Ruby interpreter update to 1.6.8-mbari8B
- Brent will work with Cheri to start this process and then hand-off so she may finish the upgrades on all machines.
- Scott will create machine-specific pages in JIRA bug tracker to follow the software version numbers on each machine.
- Brent, Kevin, Jim, and Todd Ruston will meet to discuss setting up a CVS account for McLane to get the latest Ruby code.
